A quick two-footed forward who has the ability to play both wide and down the middle. A player who loves attacking and taking players on.
Grabbed all five goals in the under 18s 5-1 win over Barnsley in September and made his Reserve team debut later that month against Wigan Athletic in the Lancashire Senior Cup.
Pro contract for Rovers' hot-shot
Another of Rovers' rising stars has put pen-to-paper on their first professional contract.
Jason Banton, who recently turned 17, has signed a deal that sees him contracted to the club until the summer of 2012.
The young striker has been in superb scoring form this season, netting 11 goals in 13 starts for the Academy, including the opener in the FA Youth Cup win over Blackpool at Ewood Park and all five in the Under-18's 5-1 win over Barnsley in September. |
